Rapid Sequence Detection

Diffinity Genomics develops assays for rapid detection of the presence of specific genetic sequences, such as Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs).

Our assays utilize a standard thermal cycler and PCR protocol and provide amplification assessment in less than 2 minutes after PCR including the capability to do SNP detection. Results can be read with inexpensive fluorimetric readers or colorimetrically. The assay can also be implemented with plate reader and liquid handler technology for high throughput.

Diffinity’s technology utilizes low-cost equipment and provides easily interpreted assay results. It can be used for genetic testing in many applications where cost and complexity of currently available approaches, such as real-time PCR, are not economically viable.

As an example, Diffinity Genomics proprietary technology allows researchers to replace gel electrophoresis, in many applications, with an assay that is faster, less expensive and more powerful.

Diffinity Genomics has also developed an extension of the core technology for electrical detection of genetic sequences in PCR product that is compatible with PCR-on-a-chip devices.
