Recently acquired by Chiral Technologies, Inc., a part of Daicel Corporation, Diffinity Genomics is a Western NY life science company with technologies that enable the development of high margin, single-use disposable products for medical, industrial and research applications in two very large and rapidly growing markets; DNA extraction and PCR cleanup and molecular diagnostics.  DNA extraction and PCR cleanup customers include the 390,000 life science workers engaged in DNA analysis worldwide, spread among 45,000 industrial and academic research labs. The company is currently manufacturing and selling its first product, the Diffinity RapidTip for PCR Cleanup, to a very receptive market.

Diffinity Technology is based upon differential adsorption of different forms of nucleic acids on specially tailored surfaces.  Our initial product, the Diffinity RapidTip for PCR cleanup, provides a revolutionary new way of cleaning PCR (polymerase chain reaction) products in a single step.
